I’ve been drooling over all of the unicorn food recipes that have been blowing up the internet the past year and have to add in one more – the waffle unicone! These are super fun to make and only require a little extra effort to making regular waffle cones. No unicone is complete without unicorn nails, amiright?!
Now for the FUN part! Squeeze the batter into a rainbow or fun pattern. It does take some trial an error for the amount of batter and placement. To cook, use a lower setting like 2 so the cones don’t brown. The cones will be softer, but prettier!
After the unicone is cooked, quickly remove the it from the iron with a spatula, roll with the provided waffle cone shaper and let cool. These babies are hot so make sure you use a cloth napkin or towel to help roll. Your waffle iron should come with instructions. If not, check out this video. It takes a few tries to get the rolling technique down so there isn’t a hole at the bottom. I still haven’t mastered it yet! A fun alternative is to place a fresh waffle in a bowl to make a waffle bowl!
